Sport Mouth Appliance

Sport guard What is a sport guard and what that has to with Dentistry. When Teeth gets together [usually called Bite, actually occlusion] muscle support and its performance place a key roll. By clenching or grinding teeth, usually this muscles are fatigue and causes muscle and nerve imbalance [Neuromuscular imbalance] which ultimately effects all the muscle in human body, and their performance. During sport activity, teeth guard is recommended for every one, especially for young children and young adults to prevent injuries to them. This are usually made of softer Plastic like material and protect teeth but allows one to clench even more, causing neuromuscular imbalance and poorer performance by athlete. By fabricating this tooth guard by Professional, inner liner can be soft for protection, but outer layer can be specifically designed for each individual, to modify occlusion [bite] to eliminate any grinding and minimize clenching. This affects all the muscles and improves their function allowing athlete to perform their peak level. If you try to reach for your feet by bending once and then again with a Popsicle stick between you teeth, you will reach further towards your feet on second attempt, for same reason, as clenching or grinding can not come in to play in second scenario, except you have a perfect bite. Custom designed Sport guard will improve sport activity performance and will protect teeth from injury.
